Online Course

About this course type

Online courses are a flexible and accessible mode of education that caters to the diverse needs of learners, providing asynchronous, self-paced learning modules that can be taken from any location with an internet connection.

Online course allows you to incorporate multimedia elements such as videos, interactive quizzes, discussion forums, and downloadable resources to create an engaging and comprehensive learning experience. The ability to bookmark progress ensures that learners can easily pick up where they left off and revisit content as needed.

How it works

Circle's online course supports SCORM and HTML formats.

A SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) package is a zip archive with learning materials like texts, quizzes, and videos wrapped in a unified code. SCORM packages will need to be created outside of Circle LMS. Once you have the content ready, you can upload your SCORM file to Circle LMS. The platform support SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 (2nd, 3rd, and 4th editions).

If you don't have SCORM content on hand, you may use Circle's internal course builder to create online HTML courses. The online course builder allows you to add text, images, videos, quiz questions, audio clips, voiceovers, and more.
